
FirstSpirit Customer Portal with SAP Integration
Challenge
The All for One Group, a leading IT company with 1,800 employees and SAP services in over 90 countries, needed a new customer-oriented corporate website following a comprehensive rebranding. The requirements: intuitive filtering by industry and topic, microsites for specific campaigns, and a personalized customer portal with seamless SAP connectivity. The existing portal based on SAP Fiori Apps had limited customization options and did not offer a unified user experience.
Our Solution
In an agile workshop with all stakeholders, we defined priorities and developed an MVP. Within ten sprints, in less than six months, we implemented frontend and backend on FirstSpirit Cloud (SaaS). Each sprint addressed a specific website section. An intelligent Solr-based solution was used for the filtering logic. The core deliverable: a hybrid SAP integration architecture with single sign-on that seamlessly connects SAP Fiori with FirstSpirit. Existing SAP Fiori Apps were replaced by flexible VueJS apps that continue to access SAP data. Complemented by HubSpot dialogue marketing, Office 365 and SharePoint connectivity, and a fully automated deployment process.
Results
The All for One Group has a modern corporate website with an integrated customer portal that offers a unified user experience across all services. PatternLab as a living styleguide ensures consistent further development. Modern sharing processes with centrally provided templates enable subsidiaries to create content independently. The modular component architecture was reused in subsequent projects. Self-service features are being used more frequently and effectively.
