A Digital Presence as Sustainable as the Product
Challenge
Frosch stands like no other brand for consistent sustainability. The website relaunch had to live up to this standard digitally as well - through resource-efficient development, optimal performance and lean code. At the same time, Werner & Mertz needed a platform that can centrally manage country-specific product catalogs for Germany, Austria, Spain and France. The previous self-developed product database was no longer fit for multi-country management.
Our Solution
Together with the creative agency Scholz & Volkmer (concept and design), we implemented the relaunch on FirstSpirit. The proprietary product database was replaced by FirstSpirit-native product database functionality that centrally manages country-specific product data. A pattern library following Atomic Design forms the visual foundation and ensures consistency across all country markets. Frontend development follows the lean coding principle with performance-optimized assets. Elaborate frontend animations were developed iteratively, creating a vibrant brand experience. For the French market, a store locator was additionally integrated. The editorial team was trained and can maintain the platform independently.
Results
Successful relaunch with optimal loading times and sustainable web development following the latest standards. The German and Austrian websites form the basis for rollout to Spain and France. The centralized product database enables efficient management of country-specific product ranges. The pattern library ensures consistent design with efficient customization options at every level. The collaboration was guided by the shared principle of making the relaunch as sustainable as possible.
