
Blog and Lead Generation for the Drive Technology World Leader
Challenge
Getriebebau NORD, one of the world's largest geared motor manufacturers with a presence in over 36 countries and more than 100 industries, wanted to strategically expand its digital visibility. On one hand, the company needed a platform to position itself as an industry expert and increase organic reach. On the other hand, a digital channel for qualified lead generation was missing that could be integrated directly into existing CRM processes.
Our Solution
We implemented two central building blocks on the existing FirstSpirit platform. First, a modern corporate blog with table of contents, anchor navigation, social sharing and category-based hashtag search via Algolia Site Search. Blog overview pages are dynamically populated via JavaScript, with the search index exported through a custom FirstSpirit module via Gradle template. Four FirstSpirit paragraph templates enable editors to create articles independently. Second, an interactive energy efficiency calculator as a lead magnet that calculates individual savings potential with minimal data input and automatically transfers contact data to HubSpot CRM via a REST service (Spring Boot).
Results
The blog is distributed multilingually across 36 countries and strengthens NORD's position as an industry expert. The efficiency calculator creates a true win-win: customers recognize concrete savings potential while NORD generates qualified leads with seamless CRM integration. By using static HTML with JavaScript instead of server-side JSP, blog pages are significantly faster and less error-prone than the rest of the website.
